Somersby Apple Cider by Carlsberg Malaysia
Im honored to be invited to attend the Somersby Apple Cider Media Launch last Friday, held at Carcosa Seri Negara with a garden party theme.
Love their attire! Good job to Carlsberg once again! |
You must be thinking, is Somersby Apple Cider an apple juice or some cider beer? Ive never heard of it and am really curious about it! Plus, Carcosa Seri Negara is a beautiful place you wont feel youre in Malaysia at all. This is how Carcosa Seri Negara looks like from the outside, a picture I get from the net. Have you revised your history? Ive read about Carsosa during high school, it was build during the British times. Hahaha.
I just think that Carcosa Seri Negara has the perfect and beautiful garden atmosphere to celebrate the launch of Somersby, a fully imported premium cider from Sweden, and was presented by Carlsberg Malaysia at the media launch. As usual, Carlsberg Malaysia always come out with wonderful surprises for us. I really love their creativeness , and Ill tell you why while you read on !
Im really glad to be part of the launch, as we were amongst the first to taste the cider, made from fermented apple juice and natural ingredients. With 4.5% ABV(alcohol content), Somersby promises easy drinking refreshment with sparkling bubbles that make every sip an exciting taste experience. It is also free from any artificial sweeteners, flavours or colourings. This new fun beverage is best served over ice as it brings out just the right zest and sweetness with no beer after-taste. It just feel so healthy to me!
Soren Ravn, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia shared, Cider is rather new to the Malaysian market. As consumers become more sophisticated in their choices, we feel that Somersby offers a refreshing alternative to beer. Malaysia is the third country in the region, after Singapore and Hong Kong, to launch Somersby Apple cider, a flagship cider brand owned by the Carlsberg Group.
So creative I feel like Im in a another world!! |
Unlike most brands that portray a more serious image, Somersbys light-hearted, quirky and entertaining disposition brings fun, laughter and unpredictable moments to consumers. With its modern persona and unisex appeal, both men and women who are open-minded, sociable, young at heart, experimental, and who are adventurous with new food and beverages are those most likely to drink Somersby Apple Cider.
Now we can have Somersby even in the hot afternoons and nobody will call you an alcoholic! It is an easy drinking alternative to beer, perfect for people who like to chill with their family and friends like me, or even during lunch time. No worries because I know its healthy, and because of its sweet fruity taste, it is the perfect alcoholic beverage to enjoy at anytime !
This is the fun and quirky Lord Somersby ! |
Somersby Apple Cider gives me a feeling of coming to life, while the loveable Lord Somersby is spreading joy and sunny. Thats why its perfect to fit in a charming garden setting no?
There is an interesting short clip video about Lord Somersby which I watched earlier before attending this launch, and it really caught my attention. I dont usually watch or share videos in my blog, but you just gotta watch this !
They also have the Grow an Apple Tree project on Facebook, where all of us are able to help grow a virtual apple tree! Look at my tree! Lets start growing one now hehehe. A vast digital installation featuring the live-feed of the Grow an Apple Tree project has also been set-up on Pavillion grounds where passers-by are exposed to the on-going online engagement; garnering more exposure for the brand.
With more planned activities targeted for consumers to interact with the brand, Somersby Apple Cider is set to make its mark in the Malaysian market. Go go go Carlsberg Malaysia!
With Chloe , the boss, and friends :) |
With my girls! Omg Im shortest :( |
Love their photobooth ! They even prepared props for us! |
Another cute pen-drive from Carlsberg |
One washroom shot while my boyfriend is busy searching the missing me everywhere wtf.

YES to SSH iPhone
Many users asked me about SSH, so I prepared this simple guide for them. At the begining What is SSH ? and why we do it?. SSH (Secure Shell) allows you to exchange data between two networked devices, using a secure channel. A jailbroken iPhone has the ability to connect with your computer via SSH, giving you read and write access to your iDevice’s hard drive.
Why we do SSH? You can repair damaged files, install games that aren’t in the App Store, and even turn your iDevice into a portable hard drive. I know it all sounds complicated, but we use applications to make the process as easy as browsing a folder on your computer. This is my quick and easy guide to SSH into your iPhone….
For beginners, your device MUST be jailbroken. You MUST also have an active Wi-Fi connection on both your iDevice and your computer.
Step 2: In your jailbroken iDevice, open ‘Cydia’ and do a search for ‘OpenSSH’. Go ahead and install it, and jump back on your computer.
Step 3: Open the Cyberduck application we downloaded earlier and click the ‘Open Connection’ button.
Step 4: In the server field you are going to type your iDevice’s IP address. This can be found by launching your ‘Settings’, selecting ‘Wi-Fi’, and selecting the blue arrow next to your wireless network. You should now see your IP address.
Step 5: Select the ‘SFTP’ option in the drop down menu above where you just typed in your IP address.
Step 6: In the Username field type in ‘root’. In the Password field type ‘alpine’. Click connect! You are now looking at the file system underneath Apple’s iOS!
Note: The first SSH may take a bit, after that it should be fine. If you get an ‘Unknown Host’ message, just ignore it and click ‘Allow’.
Jailbreak iOS 5 beta 3 iPhone iPod Touch iPad Redsn0w Caution
Jailbreak iOS 5 beta 3 - iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad - Redsn0w
Today the new Beta version of iOS 5 has been released named as iOS5 Beta 3. now there is need for most of the users of this new version of firmware to jailbreak their devices. There is good news for those that they can easily jailbreak the latest version of iOS 5 beta 3. There is no tool updated for the jailbreak, but the last version of Redsn0w that was released to jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 2 can jailbreak iOS Beta 3 as well. But this new version and jailbreak is only for developers. Here is the announcement made by MuscleNerd about the jailbreaking of new firmware.iOS 5 Beta 3 Can Be Jailbroken Using Redsn0w 0.9.8b1; But App Store Apps Are Not Working
This jailbreak method is same as was in the past for Redsn0w by putting the device in DFU mode, but remember this jailbreak is also tethered.
Here is a bit guide about jailbreaking new version iOS 5 Beta 3. first update you iDevice with this latest firmware via iTunes. Then you need to run Redsn0w 0.9.8 and select the firmware iOS 5.0 beta1. if you select other firmware then you will not be able to jailbreak your device running iOS Beta3.
Again this is tethered jailbreak, it means that every time you switch off your device, you will have to connect it to your PC and use the option “Just boot tethered right now” to use your device.
iOS 5 beta 3 that has just been seeded to developers of iOS developer program can be jailbroken using Redsn0w 0.9.8b1.iPhone Dev team had released Redsn0w 0.9.8b1 for Mac and Windows for iOS beta 1 for developers of jailbreak app developers so that they can test and debug their jailbreak apps and tweaks on iOS 5.
After upgrading your iOS device to iOS 5 beta, the trick is to point Redsn0w 0.9.8b1 to iOS 5 beta 1 firmware file to jailbreak it.MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team has also confirmed this on Twitter:
Todays 5.0b3 can be jailbroken with last months redsn0w http://is.gd/6eek4Y (point it at 5.0b1 IPSW..devs only please!)
But please proceed with caution if you’re not a jailbreak app developer as we’re hearing reports that App Store apps do not working after jailbreaking iOS 5 beta 3. ModMyI reports: After playing around on iOS 5 beta 3 while jailbroken, it has been discovered that AppStore applications do not work. They crash and refuse to open. It is an issue that has been reported by a few people, including myself.
According to hacker, Clayton Braasch it is due to a sandboxing issue: To reiterate: theres a sandbox issue causing App Store apps to crash after jailbreaking iOS 5 beta 3. Stay away if youre not a developer.
It needs to be seen if this is due to some anti-jailbreaking measure introduced by Apple in the latest iOS 5 beta. Saturday, September 28, 2013
Update Install Siri Proxy It’s illegal Don’t believe all the hype
HOW TO: Install Siri Proxy
A couple of weeks ago, plamoni’s has released Siri Proxy and we’ve seen quite a few plugins that will extend our Siri experience. Today, we’re going to show you how to install Siri Proxy so you can take advantage of all these plugins. Head over the break to start…
NOTE: major duh moment – this is for iPhone 4S. Siri was fully ported to *older* devices, but NOT being distributed. It’s illegal. Don’t believe all the hype.
1. Download Siri Proxy
2. Download and install Mac Ports
3 Open Terminal and type : sudo port install dnsmasq . Type in your computer’s password
4. Type bash < <(curl -s https://raw.github.com/wayneeseguin/.../rvm-installer) to download/install RVM
5. Type [[ -s "$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm" ]] && . “$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm” to activate RVM
6. Type echo ‘[[ -s "$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm" ]] && . “$HOME/.rvm/scripts/rvm” # Load RVM function’ >> ~/.bash_profile to add RVM to your .bash_profile
7. Type rvm install 1.9.3 to install Ruby 1.9.3
8. Some users might get an error while installing Ruby. This only applies to *some* Lion users.
9. If you get this error, type rvm install 1.9.3 –with-gcc=clang
10. Type rvm use 1.9.3 –default to set RVM to use/default to 1.9.3
11. Now you need to cd into the the siri proxy folder you downloaded at step 1 ( make sure you unzipped it first ). The easiest way is to type cd and then just drag-and-drop the folder from your desktop ( or downloads location – whatever it may be ) to your terminal shell.
12. Type rvmsudo gem install rake bundler to install Rake and Bundler. Type in your computer password
13. Type rake install to Install SiriProxy gem
14. Type mkdir ~/.siriproxy to make .siriproxy directory
15. Type cp ./config.example.yml ~/.siriproxy/config.yml to move default config file to .siriproxy
16. Type sudo port install openssl
17. Type ./siriproxy gencerts to generate certificates
18. Next you need to install ca.pem onto your iPhone. To do that open a finder window, press cmd+shift+G and enter the following path ~/.siriproxy
19. Email ca.pem to yourself
20. On your phone you will see the new file. Tap on it and install it.
21. Search your Mac for this file: dnsmasq.conf. Once you’ve found it, open it in a texteditor ( we suggest TextWrangler – free ). Inside the file find #address=double-click.net/127.0.0.1 ( line 62 ). Right below that, add the following line: address=/guzzoni.apple.com/your-computer-IP
21.1 Type in terminal sudo dnsmasq . Check activity monitor if dnsmasq is running ( all processes )
22. On your iPhone, open Settings.app. Go to WiFi, select your WiFi, and edit your DNS. Should be something like 10.0.1.0. You need to change the last 0 into a 3. ( i.e 10.0.1.3 )
23. Now you need to cd into the bin folder found in the plamoni-SiriProxy-fe75db4 you downloaded at step 1. To do that type cd and drag-and-drop the bin folder into the terminal
24. Type ./siriproxy bundle
25. Type rvmsudo siriproxy server and type your password.
26. Now everything should be up and running. To test it, fire up Siri and say ‘Test Siri Proxy’
27. Now the fun part. All the plugins that makes Siri Proxy magic. We will show you where to get plugins and how to install them in the next
