Syllabus and Exam Pattern of SSC Prasar Bharti Exam 2013

Syllabus of Prasar Bharti Exam 2013 for Engineering Assistant Post | Last year solved papers of SSC Prasar Bharti Exam | Unsolved papers of SSC Prasar Bharti Exam
SSC conducts Combined Recruitment for the post of Engineering Assistant and Technician in Prasar Bharati Examination – 2013. Prasar bharti exam 2013 will be held on 26th of may.
SSC has projected vacancies of 1290 for Engineering Assistant post and 340 for Technician post. The last day of online application is set to 22nd of feb.
After the successful submission of online application for prasar bharti exam, students may be in dillema that how to prepare for prasar bharti exam, how to select subjects, what is the exam pattern, what is the syllabus of prasar bharti exam etc. Here I will try to solve out all questions in your mind for exam of prasar bharti.
In this post I am discussing about exam pattern of prasar bharti as well as syllabus. Also give some tips to choose proper subjects to gain more in prasar bharti exam.
Exam Pattern of SSC Prasar bharti exam 2013 :
There are two seperate phase for both posts- Written exam and Interview.
Written exam consists of two papers whose detail is as below
FOR THE POST OF ENGINEERING ASSISTANT :
Paper I (Objective Type) - 200marks (2 hrs)
(a)General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions) - 50 marks
(b)General Awareness (50 questions) - 50 marks
(c) Technical Knowledge (100 questions) - 100 marks
Paper II (Descriptive Type) - 200marks (2 hrs)
Any one out of the following :-
(a) Physics
(b) Radio Engineering
(c) Telecommunication Engineering
(d) Electrical Engineering
(e) Electronics Engineering
(f) Information Technology
The interview for the post of Engineering Assistant will be of 100 marks.
FOR THE POST OF TECHNICIAN :
Paper I (Objective Type) - 200marks (2 hrs)
(a)General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions) - 50 marks
(b)General Awareness (50 questions) - 50 marks
(c) Technical Knowledge (100 questions) - 100 marks
Paper II (Descriptive Type) - 200marks (2 hrs)
Any one out of the following :-
(a) Electronics Engineering
(b) Telecommunication Engineering
The interview for the post of Engineering Assistant will be of 100 marks.
Syllabus of SSC Prasar bharti exam 2013 :
Paper I
A. General Intelligence & Reasoning : Frankly for prasar bharti exam, general intelligence and reasoning part is not a deciding part for selection. Just revise the basic reasoning you have studied so many times, i think. Dont try so hard at this portion.
B. General Awareness: Just cram up dead general knowledge. You have to mainly emphasize on the current events of india. This part will include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity & Scientific Research. Here i advice you to refer Lucent general knowledge book, which will be more beneficial for this short time.
C. Technical Knowledge: The questions will be of degree level/diploma level in the concerned subject. This part is one of important factor for selection procedure.You have to revise basic physics of your acedmics, also technical part. This portion is sometimes a strange part of your paper, so concentrate on this portion. Dont try to follow whole subjects of syllabus of your degee, just choose some of them where you can score well.
Paper – II :
This part is completely descriptive and the questions will be of Degree level/Diploma level in concerned subject. You have to select a paper for this part of prasar bharti exam.
For electronics students - Give more attention to electronic devices and circuits, network theory, instrumentation, control system, communication, analog electronics, digital circuits and electromagnetic theory
For electrical students - Give more attention to network theory, instrumentation, control system,digital circuits, electrical machines and electromagnetic theory.
For IT students - Questions are mainly covering computer network and DBMS.

SAIL Management Trainee Recruitment 2014 Syllabus and Exam Pattern Updated
Steel Authority of India (SAIL), an Indian Maharatna public sector company has invited applications from Indian students for the post of Management Trainee (Technical) and Management Trainee (Administration).
This SAIL Management trainee recruitment 2013 examination may be held in last month of may.
SAIL has projected vacancies of 558 for Technical and 82 for Administration Management trainee post. The last day of online application is set to 3rd of April, 2013. Admit card for SAIL recruitment can be downloaded from 13th may onwards.
At this time you should successfully submit your application on official website of SAIL,www.sail.co.in. If you have already submitted your application, you might be in dilemma that how should you prepare for Sail examination, what is the syllabus of SAIL examination, what is the exam pattern of Sail examination, what are the subjects you should choose to crack this exam, how to crack Sail examination etc. Here in this post i will try to solve out of questions of your mind.
I start with the exam pattern as well as syllabus of SAIL recuitment, then i will give some tips and tricks to crack this exam.
Exam Pattern of SAIL Management Trainee Recruitment 2013 :
Eligible candidates will be required to appear in a written examination. After clearing written test candidates will go through an interview and group discussion round.
The written exam for both the posts above mentioned will be held on same day as per the following schedule
1. For MT (Technical) - in the Forenoon session
2. For MT (Admin) - in the Afternoon session
Candidates can apply and compete for both the post of management trainee.
Syllabus of SAIL Management Trainee Recruitment 2013 :
The written test will have five sections-
Domain Knowledge Test (technical/admin.) for 100 marks in duration of 75 minutes
Aptitude Test for 100 marks in duration of 75 minutes.
Aptitude test will consist of four separate parts as below
Quantitative aptitude - 25 marks
Reasoning - 25 marks
English Verbal ability - 25 marks
General awareness - 25 marks
Overall this SAIL examination is of 200 marks in duration of 1.5 hours.There is negative marking for wrong answered questions.
To be eligible for group discussion and interview, candidate will have to qualify in each section by scoring minimum 50 percentile marks.
Tips and Tricks to crack SAIL Recruitment 2013 Exam -
To crack SAIL Exam, the first thing you have to improve is your question attempting speed and accuracy. To crack or qualify SAIL exam you have to score minimum marks in each section, as there is individual cut off in all sections. Always make a proper idea in your mind that for what section of exam you should start and proceed.
Beside these I am discussing about individual sections of SAIL Exam 2013......
Domain Knowledge Test (Technical) :- This section consists of technical questions for 100 marks. This section tests your academics technical knowledge.
For electronics branch students - consist questions mainly from engineering mathematics, control system, microprocessor, network circuits, digital electronics, analog electronics, electromagnetic theory (EMT) and digital commnication subjects.
For electrical branch students - consist questions mainly from engineering mathematics, control system, network circuit, digital electronics, dc machines, electromagnetic theory (EMT).
General Intelligence + Reasoning :- This section includes questions related to numbers/letter/word problems, missing number problems, direction sensing problems and mainly figures problems.
General Awareness :- Just cram up dead general knowledge but mainly consist of current affairs. This part will include questions relating to India especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity & Scientic Research. Here i advice you to refer Lucent general knowledge book , which will be more beneficial to qualify this section.
Quantitative Aptitude :- This section includes mathematics problems up to secondary class. These are basic problems.
English Comprehension :- This section of SAIL exam includes problems of sentence errors, synonyms, antonyms and passage questions.
